Visa reality & costs
Destination risk first, then rough first-year USD ranges and Myanmar remittance friction. Estimates — not school quotes. Recheck before any deposit.
Honest visa reality (2025–26)
Student-route scrutiny and refusal climate for many Myanmar applicants. Large deposits are hard to recover if refused. Prefer Asia (or amber Europe) backup before any Western deposit. Australia Awards is a separate Master’s track — not a fee workaround for Year-12.
Possible with admission + funds + clean documents — not automatic. Germany needs Sperrkonto (blocked account) planning; funding it from Myanmar is often the hard part. Poland English BBA can be cheaper tuition than UK/Aus, but consulate/visa access still matters. DIY before agent retainers.
Language school / foundation / diploma / degree tracks that fit more Myanmar profiles when English and funds are real. Still need genuine attendance and written fees. Avoid unlicensed “guaranteed visa” packages and passport-holding agents.

Germany “1st year mid” includes living-proof / Sperrkonto-scale costs even when public tuition is near €0. Living proof amounts change — verify embassy checklists.
Myanmar remittance friction
FX controls and informal hundi/agent remittance common. Keep a paper trail for COE/visa. Avoid cash-only handoffs. Some lang schools accept agent collection in MMK/THB — still demand receipts.
Bank transfer to uni preferred. Border/agent payment paths exist — get written receipts. Confirm student-visa fund-proof rules with the school. Refuse passport-holding agents.
Funding Sperrkonto from Myanmar is hard — plan 60–90 days. Embassy may discuss alternatives if transfers are blocked. Avoid unverified “Sperrkonto agents”.
High scrutiny plus remittance and funds-evidence proof. Large deposits are difficult to recover after refusal. Treat as high-risk before any CoE/CAS payment.
